Genevieve Pelayo, or Gen, as she is fondly called, is one of the teachers whose record speaks for itself. A graduate of nursing from the University of the Cordilleras, one of Baguio City’s top-tier universities, her experiences took her to significant time spent in Emergency Medical Services in Tuba, Benguet, as well as a brief tenure in Baguio General Hospital, the biggest government hospital in the Cordilleras. She had significant forays in ESL teaching as well, logging two years in one of Baguio’s most popular Korean academies, leading to Gen’s having passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, September of 2010.
In New Zealand, Gen furthered her nursing background, with a Graduate Diploma in Infection Prevention in Rotorua, Level 7, plus acquiring the government ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) programme and ACE Dementia Programme, Level 3, by December of 2016.
